Salah

Had Moses (Musa) not interfered Muhammad -- Muslims would be doing 50 times Salah (Prayer)

Salah keeps the connection between you and Allah. During descending back to this earth with this sacred present, the blessed Prophet Muhammad was stopped and questioned by the Prophet Moses. He queried about what the Prophet had received from The Almighty Allah. The Prophet of Islam replied that he had received Salah, which was to be preformed 50 times a day. The Prophet Moses  then ordered the Prophet Muhammad to ascend back to Almighty Allah and ask to decrease the amount allotted. Allah decreased the amount by 5. The Prophet Muhammad then descended once more, was again was questioned by the Prophet Moses (PBUH) and was again asked to ascend and ask Allah to decrease the allotted amount; which He did, again by 5. This whole scenario was repeated till the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was left with 5 prayers. But he was asked again the Moses (PBUH) to ask Allah (SWT) to decrease the amount. But this time the Prophet Muhammad replied that he was too ashamed to face his lord once again.

Loud speakers

Revered as the birthplace of the Prophet Mohammed and the heartland of Islam, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is attempting to tone down the noise produced by the five times daily call to prayers. Noise pollution is impacting on the quality of life of residents forced to endure unsynchronized calls from competing mosques.

Imans who violate the ministry guidelines and blast their calls to night prayers through loudspeakers will be summoned to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and expected to agree to an undertaking to adhere to the ban.

The issue is one that crops up with frequent regularity in Muslim countries where the call to prayers can conflict with calls for peace and quiet.
